Laptop computers, like desktop computers, use a "paging file" which acts as virtual memory when the laptop runs out of physical memory. Adjusting the amount of storage space that is allocated for this memory gives you more virtual RAM, which helps the computer run more applications at once. You can change the amount of allocated memory in the paging file yourself.
Instructions
1.Click the "Start" button, open the "Control Panel" and double-click on the "System" icon.2.Go to the "Advanced" tab, click "Settings," click the "Advanced" tab again and click "Change."
3.Select your hard drive from the list of drives and click the "Custom size" check box. Enter a starting value and maximum value for your paging file allocation and click the "Set" button.
4.Restart your computer to apply the changes.
