Dell's Latitude D610 Laptop computer uses DDR2 memory sticks for RAM. If you need to replace or upgrade the memory in this laptop, you can install it with the help of a Phillips screwdriver. Don't start this project unless you're comfortable working with small computer parts to access the RAM on your D610.
Instructions
1.Turn off your D610 laptop and close the lid.2.Unplug the laptop from its AC adapter and remove the battery. Lay the laptop upside down on a soft, flat surface.
3.Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the memory module cover, located on the bottom center of the laptop computer (see Resources).
4.Spread apart the clips that hold the memory module into place to release it. Remove it (if necessary) and install your new memory module by inserting it into the slot at a 45-degree angle and pressing down until it clicks into place.
5.Screw the memory module cover back into place, insert the battery and AC adapter and turn the computer on.
