Recording ringtones on your BlackBerry 8700G phone is easy with the voice note feature. Voice notes allow BlackBerry users the option to record audio. You can record your favorite phrase or sing your favorite song, then transfer the voice note as a ringtone for your contacts, messages or IM's.
Instructions
1.Locate the voice notes application on your phone's home screen, and then click the "Trackball" button to open the application.2.Select the "Record" option and start recording your ringtone. Press the "Stop" button to stop the recording and the "Play" button to replay your recording.
3.Click the "Save" button when you are done to save the ringtone to your phone. When prompted, enter a name for the ringtone for easy finding.
Assigning a Ringtone
1.Locate the notification profile on your phone's home screen, and then click the "Trackball" button to open the application.2.Select "Advanced" followed by a notification profile such as incoming calls, messages or IM's.
3.Select the option "Show Tunes" and wait for the available ringers to populate.
4.Click the "Voice notes" folder and wait for your voice notes to populate. Select a voice note from the list and click "Set as Phone Tune."
